Let’s talk about new year’s resolutions. I know this may be a cheesy thing to do, but this year it was definitely needed for myself. I’ve created several goals to make my 2020 the best year yet! I’m definitely diving back into my pools of creativity and trying my best to find that part of myself that I was immersed in before 2015. I was definitely racing through pages back then and now I’ve stalled out.
So, new year, new challenge. A goal of mine this year is to be more active with reading and within the book community. Going into a library or a book store used to be my thing. It was my happy place. The smell of a bookstore, the fresh coffee, and crisp pages, comforted me in ways that nothing else could. Therefore, I have begun this blog, received a job in a library, and started my 2020 reading challenge.

If you’re a person that loves books or reading, you have most likely seen the above logo. Goodreads! It became the new Shelfari several years ago and huge in the reading and reviewing community. It’s a great way to track what books you’ve read, want to read, or are currently reading. It also pushes me to set a new challenge each year. For 2020, I have challenged myself to 20 books. For a reader, that probably sounds extremely low. However, for my seven books last year, it’s fairly high. I have confidence that I can do it and will go beyond this goal! To start out, I am reading Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.
What is your reading goal for 2020? What book did you start the year with?
